  • Hand wash onlyFor best results, gently hand wash your item. Machine washing is not recommended to maintain its quality.
  • Avoid softener & bleachDo not use fabric softener or bleach, as these can damage the fabric and affect its appearance.
  • IroningUse a steam iron or a dry iron set to a low temperature. Avoid high heat to prevent damage.
  • Do not wringGently press out excess water with a towel instead of twisting the fabric.
  • Dry in the shadeHang or lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight to keep colours and prints vibrant.
  • Do not tumble dryThe heat of a dryer can shrink or weaken fine fabrics.
  • StorageStore folded or hung in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and perfume.

Opacity Scale

Every Yamina scarf is rated from Level 1 (sheer) to Level 5 (fully opaque), so you know before you buy whether it needs an inner or a double layer. You will find the level of each piece on its product page, under Opacity.

The five levels

  • Level 1 – Sheer. Wear an inner to cover the neck.
  • Level 2 – Light. An inner is recommended, especially for pale colours.
  • Level 3 – Semi-sheer. Style with a double layer at the neck.
  • Level 4 – Almost opaque. A single layer covers well.
  • Level 5 – Fully opaque.

Inner or double layer?

Inner: worn under the scarf to cover the neck and keep it in place.
Double layer: let the fabric cross over itself at the neck.

Light and pastel shades read a little sheerer than deep shades of the same fabric.

Refund, Returns & Exchange

Refunds

Available when you receive a defective or damaged item, the wrong item, or an item is missing from your order. Colour differences caused by screen settings are not defects.

Exchanges

We can exchange an eligible item instead of a refund, with complimentary pickup.

Not eligible

  • Change of mind
  • Items worn, washed or altered
  • Items without their original tags and packaging
  • Sale items (unless defective or incorrect)
  • Inners, for hygiene reasons

How to request

Email customercare@yamina.com.my within 7 working days of receiving your order, with your order number and clear photos. Approved refunds are made by bank transfer within 3 business days, and return shipping is on us.
